China - The fastest growing airfreight market in the world

Increased demand for hi-tech goods means more airfreight, and during the last ten years China’s international freight has expanded by 9.6 percent, with high-tech exports having grown faster than any other product.

This trend is forecast to continue into 2020.

Recent surveys show that, in terms of traffic flows, China – Europe and China – North America will be the two fastest growing international markets.

The express market is another growth area with full express freight services similar to those offered in Europe and North America developing over the next ten years.

It is predicted that today’s concentration of Chinese international airfreight in the coastal and southern provinces will develop still further, with the Yangtze region representing 75 percent of international freight shipments by 2015.
